Charles Joseph Cunningham, 78, a native and resident of Houma, died at 1:58 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2007.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by his wife, Felicia Bourque Cunningham of Houma; his mother, Lucille Marie Darcey Cunningham of Houma; one son, Craig Cunningham of Houma; two daughters, Maureen Percle of Thibodaux and Vicki C. Bradfield of Beaumont, Texas; three stepsons, Robin Perez of New Iberia, John Nowell of Houma and Mike Nowell of Delray Beach, Fla.; three stepdaughters, Sabrina Duhon of Delcambre, Debbie Meyer of New Iberia and Kathy Darone of Lafayette; one brother, Ronald Cunningham of Houma; one sister, Carol C. Leach of Pearl River; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one step-granddaughter, Alicia Chancey of Massachusetts; 24 step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; and his aunt and godmother, Beatrice Babin of Houma.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Guidry Cunningham; and his father, Torres Joseph Cunningham.
He was president/owner of Gulf Oilfield Service Co. and a U.S. Navy veteran.
He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
