Elise "Dee" Ellender Labat

Elise "Dee" Ellender Labat, 78, a native of Bourg and resident of Montegut, died at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2007. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by three sons, Paul Labat of Houma, Malcolm Labat and wife, Peggy Adams Labat, of Bayou Blue and Curtis Labat and wife, Kay Moore Labat, of Thibodaux; one brother, Leo Ellender of Bourg; two sisters, Merill Lirette and Alice Redmond of Houma; and three grandchildren, Dustin Labat, Michael Labat and Matthew Labat. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen J. Labat; her parents, Paul Ellender and Stella Lirette Ellender; and two brothers, Bernard Ellender and Arthur Ellender. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ladies Altar Society and American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 0272. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
