S.T. Kennedy, 76, a native of Picayune, Miss., and resident of Houma, died at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2007.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be at noon Tuesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by one son, Keith Michael Kennedy and wife, Christine, of Houma; two daughters, Karrie Gayle Kennedy Savoie and husband, Rory, of Lockport and Debra Lynn Kennedy Brouillette and husband, Randy, of Houma; four brothers, R.J. Kennedy of Franklinton, W.D. Kennedy of Varnado, Huey P. Kennedy of Bogalusa and Edward Earl Kennedy of Smyrna, Tenn.; three sisters, Evie Goldie Singley of Angie, Lois Delores Philips of Alexandria and Dorothy "Dottie" Woodard of Angie; five grandchildren, Tracie Lynn Prestenback and husband, Chad, Kimberly Kay Scott and husband, Heath, Rande’ Renee Brouillette, Ellen Elizabeth Kennedy and Emma Christine Kennedy; and eight great-grandchildren, Casey Gayle Prestenback, Caleb Prestenback, Colby Prestenback, Cory Robichaux Jr., Emilee Robichaux, Hunter Scott, Heather Scott and Gage Scott.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Lovell Kennedy; his parents, Roscoe H. Kennedy and Mary Elizabeth Cadwick Kennedy; and two sisters, Doris Marie Weaver and Dolly Louise Hobgood.
He was a retired civil engineer of 30 years with the State of Louisiana Highway Department and Transportation and a U.S. Army veteran.
He was past member of Tidewater Board and a member of the American Legion Post No. 380 for 35 years.
He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
