Nettie Rita Bergeron Duplantis, 74, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Chauvin, died at 9:50 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2007.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by five daughters, Jennifer Belle and husband, John, of Chauvin, Phyllis Levron and husband, Rene, of Bayou Blue, Michelle Blanchard and husband, Michael, of Chauvin, Peggy Duplantis of Houma, and Susie Duplantis and fiancé, Kirby Peabody, of Prairieville; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delvin "Dickie" Duplantis; her parents, Enos Bergeron and Mabel Eschete Bergeron; two brothers, Philip "Philo" Bergeron and Chuck Enis Bergeron; and one sister, Eta Woods.
She was a retired clerk with Wolfe’s Pharmacy with more than 42 years of service and a member of the Ladies Altar Society.
She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
