Wilber DeHart Sr.

Wilber DeHart Sr., 87, a native of Berwick and resident of Theriot, died at 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2007. Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Andrews Episcopal Church. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in St. Eloi Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Regina Boudreaux DeHart; one son, Wilber DeHart Jr. and wife, Cherie; six daughters, Rosemary DeHart and husband, Calvin, Mary Ann LaCoste and husband, David, Genieneve Carlos, Elaine Lirette and husband, Dennis Jr., Earline Liner and husband, Sines Jr., Loretta Luke and husband, LeRoy, and Carolyn Gold and husband, Terry Sr.; two brothers, Desire ZZ DeHart and Herman "Butsy" DeHart Jr.; one sister, Evelyn "May May" Domangue; 26 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman DeHart Sr. and Maggie Lorena Lovell DeHart; one son-in-law, Randolph Carlos; three grandchildren, Randy Carlos, Kim Carlos and Baby LaCoste; four brothers, Raymond "Nookie" DeHart, Willis DeHart, Irvin "CoCo" DeHart and Freeman DeHart; three sisters, Merline Scott, Adeline DeHart and Verlin Authement; and his grandparents, William DeHart, Elizabeth Fanguy, Walker Lovell and Bertha Adams. He was a self-employed fisherman.
