Clyde Abraham Jarrett, 62, a native of Clendenin, W.Va., and resident of Gray, died at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2007.
A memorial service will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at 209 Lynnwood Drive in Houma.
He is survived by his wife, Charleen Nash Jarrett of Gray; his mother, Therma Jarrett of Elkview, W.Va.; five sons, Randy Jarrett, Chris Jarrett, Charlie Jarrett of West Virginia, Jimmy Jarrett of South Carolina and Johnny Jarrett of West Virginia; three daughters, Melinda Forrester of West Virginia, Rhonda Hebert and Charlotte Grace of Houma; two brothers, Joseph Ashley and Steve Ashley of West Virginia; one sister, Sue Eckes of West Virginia; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Donald Lee Jarrett; and one sister, Sandy Sherlon.
He was a self-employed welder and a U.S. Army veteran.
