Luke Edward Grezaffi Jr., 81, a native of Batchelor and resident of Houma, died at 10:25 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2007.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Mass will be at noon Monday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Roberts Grezaffi of Houma; one daughter, Debbie G. Tillery of Lafayette; one son-in-law Kim Tillery of Lafayette; one daughter-in-law, Connie Grezaffi of Houma; one sister, Sadie Thomas of Natchitoches; three grandchildren, Brandon M. Grezaffi and wife, Kristen, Ashley A. Grezaffi and Kimberly A. Tillery; and four great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Bailey Grezaffi, Tye Benoit and Alana Ray Grezaffi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luke E. Grezaffi Sr. and Gertrude Messina Grezaffi; two sons, Derrell Grezaffi and Ray R. Grezaffi; and two brothers, Andrew Grezaffi and Joe Grezaffi.
He was owner of Luke Construction Co. and Imperial Resources.
He loved big game hunting, duck hunting, trout and sac-a-lait fishing and enjoyed riding his bush-hog. He was a devoted family man and an inspiration to all who knew him.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
