Mildred Poiencot Cadiere, 71, a native and Mildredresident of Houma, died at 7:20 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2007.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, Larry J. Cadiere and Mark Cadiere and wife, Laurie, of Houma; one daughter, Patsy C. Hebert of Houma; one brother, Randolph Poiencot of Berwick; one sister, Louise Poiencot Bonvillain of Houma; and seven grandchildren, Steven Hebert, Brittney Cadiere, Devin Cadiere, Marcus Cadiere, Payton Hebert, Davey Hebert and Lauren Cadiere.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Thomas Cadiere; her parents, Aurelie Simon Poiencot and Jeanne Marie Babin Poiencot; three brothers, Edward Poiencot Sr., Johnny Poiencot and Reynold Poiencot; five half-brothers, Henry Poiencot, Ivy Poiencot, Enos Poiencot, Aubrey Poiencot and Edward "Fish" Poiencot; and two half-sisters, Josephine Poiencot Derrick and Celena Poiencot.
She was a homemaker and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
