Herman A. Henry, 78, a native and resident of Chauvin, died at 12:35 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2007.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Chauvin. Mass will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Annabelle Eschete Henry of Chauvin; two daughters, Carolyn Hebert and companion, Ellis LeBouef, of Montegut, and Phyllis Morgan of Chauvin; one brother, Willard Henry of Houma; two sisters, Albertine Fonseca of Chauvin and Barbara St. Pierre of Larose; four grandchildren, Jessie, Kristie and Martie Hebert and Rebecca Morgan; and five great-grandchildren, Harley, Jody, Hope, Faith and Corie Hebert.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clovis Henry Jr. and Elda Benoit Henry; one son-in-law, Dale Henry; one brother, Russell Henry; and his grandparents, Clovis Sr. and Atelia Marie Theriot Henry and Julien and Eunice Marie Hebert Benoit.
He was a retired boat captain with Dresser Magobar for 36 years. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post No. 9608 and a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.
He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
