Eula Margaret Dumont Monroe, 91, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, died at 3 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2007.
Visitation will be from 3 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Chauvin. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, Malcolm Monroe and wife, Earline, of Chauvin and Floyd Monroe and companion, Sally, of Gray; two daughters, Linda Bertrand and husband, Ronald, of Church Point and Brenda Cornielle and fiance, Tommy, of Houma; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Cornielle; her second husband, Charles Monroe; her parents, Mitchel Dumont and Marie Dubois Dumont; three brothers, Harold, Luby and Camile Dumont; and three sisters, Lillian White, Lena Trahan and Hilda Blanchard.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW.
She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
