Leonard James Breaux, 75, a native and resident of Houma, died at 1 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2007. Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in Holy Rosary Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Merrill J. Traina Breaux of Houma; one son, Barry Breaux and wife, Vicki, of Houma; two daughters, Donna Barrios and husband, John, and Susan LeBoeuf and husband, Brian, of Houma; four brothers, Roy Breaux and wife, Billie Sue, Michael Breaux and wife, Beth, John Breaux and wife, Jeannie, and Raymond Breaux of Houma; two sisters, Carmel Daigle and husband, Jerome, and Agnes Blanchard and husband, Tommy, of Houma; one sister-in-law, Pat Breaux of Houma; eight grandchildren, Mandi LeCompte and husband, Craig, Christopher Barrios, Michelle Anselmi and husband, Lance, Kayla Star and husband, Bryan, Danae’ Breaux, Blake Breaux, Brody LeBoeuf and Macie LeBoeuf; three great-grandchildren, Allie LeCompte, Tanner LeCompte and Lucas Anselmi; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus E. Breaux and Irene Ledet Breaux; one brother, Carl Breaux; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Ledet and Mr. and Mrs. Alcede Breaux; and one niece, Carla Breaux. He was a retired salesman with Patterson Truck Line with 20 years and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Bernadette Building Fund.
